‘Still Life’ Exhibition Promo

STILL LIFE is an immersive photographic exhibition showcasing the early polar explorers and their expeditions and life in Antarctica through the lens of renowned photographer Jane Ussher.

Step ‘inside’ the historic huts of Antarctic explorers Captain Robert Falcon Scott and Sir Ernest Shackleton to relive a time of extraordinary polar exploration. The exhibition is based on Jane’s evocative series of images of Scott and Shackleton's historic expedition bases. These iconic structures, now cared for by the Antarctic Heritage Trust, are associated with some of the most inspirational and harrowing stories in polar history.

For an incredible 10 minutes visitors are able to ‘step inside’ the Antarctic huts of the early explorers and become immersed in an audio-visual experience that captures the landscape, isolation and the lives of the men through the scientific and everyday objects they left behind.

STILL LIFE commemorates the lives of these first heroic explorers and will inspire people with their remarkable stories.
