2010-11 Ventilator on the roof of Scott's 'Terra Nova' hut

Temporary flashing on the flue base box before the roof cladding installation. During the 2010-11 season new Ruberoid roofing was installed over the roof of Scott’s Terra Nova hut. The new material was installed over the existing contemporary Butynol cladding to ensure the best possible weatherproof seal. As the contemporary Butynol cladding weatherproofed the building, the new layer was primarily for providing a closer match to the look of the original historic cladding. The cladding was installed using a heat gun to weld the sheets together, and the edges were fixed using clouts.
